College Age & Young Adult Room Mates Wanted
Hello, y'all!
I have a 3 bedroom 2 bath single home in Gentilly, "a part of New Orleans" I am wanting to rent the rooms to (3) college students. This house is located about 5 minutes from UNO, 5 minutes from the lakefront, and about 10 minutes or less from the French Quarter. The house is only minutes from a grocery store, coffee shop, and restaurants. And there is off road parking, a bus stop less then 1/4 of a block away and the neighborhood is bike friendly too.

The rent is $500 a month and the security deposit is $400. Included in rent is your own private bedroom, a bathroom to share with the other room mate, all utilities, and wireless internet. There is also a furnished kitchen you're free to use including a microwave. You will need to buy your own food and either work out a schedule for the kitchen or maybe work together cooking with the other room-mates. There is also a washer and dryer you can use, and you'll only need your own detergent and any other personal items you use. The house has a fenced in back-yard with a patio in the back. If you should smoke you'll be asked to please smoke out-side on either the front or back patio. There are no pets allowed.

There is one student, "My daughter" already living in one of the 3 bedrooms now, she is a college student who will be going to UNO.
She is a very mature 18 year old who is studying film and takes her school/studies very serious. Many of her films have won awards and been used for TV commercials. She is quite friendly, respectful of others' space, and only asks the same in return. So, in other words please don't judge her by her age. It's not important if you are male or female, straight or gay, only that you're easy to get a long with, you respect other people's personal boundaries and their property.

COLLEGE PACKING LIST- ARE YOU HEADING TO COLLEGE SOON?
Are you heading to college for the first time this year?
Well my daughter will be moving into her first apartment very soon.
"Yes, everything changed even though she did get her scholarship to Chicago she had also won a few scholarships here and decided she would stay in Louisiana at least for a few years and take full advantage of that free money. I am very happy, because she'll be closer to home, she won't owe tons of money when she gets out and the movie scene is just getting big here in New Orleans, so kind of think she will do better jumping into it now rather then later. I am hoping she can intern on a set or something like that.
Anyway she will be moving into a house and hopefully 2 friends of hers. If it isn't her friends it will be two other students from school. The house will needs furniture, and every thing else you can think of that a house needs. I went looking around of course on Swag Bucks, Don't Search without doing it on Swag Bucks y'all!"

2 sets twin sheets (usually extra-long)

A body pillow is great for getting comfy to study in bed

Beside light or clip-on bunk light
Fan (For white noise for sleeping/studying)

THE SPCA WANTS TO AIR MY DAUGHTER'S VIDEO AS A COMMERCIAL
I am so proud of my youngest daughter, Kayla. She and the rest of her class
were giving an assignment at NOCCA "New Orleans Creative Arts. They were each asked to make a Public Awareness Video on whatever they felt needed more awareness. Kayla, did a video on Animal Abuse. She did a great job on it, and she got an A. She told me yesterday that the SPCA seen her video and they were so impressed that they want to run it as a commercial on TV!
She's won awards, got into NOCCA which isn't that easy in it's self.
Anyhow I am so happy, because this should give her more confidence in her work when she sees her video airing on TV. Plus it's a great video and I truly hope it wakes up the right people and gets a buzz going. A buzz to help make animal laws tougher when it comes to animal abuse.
And I hope this helps her to get into the college she wants and maybe she'll win some scholarship money too. She's been busy writing essays and filling out all kinds of college entry papers over the last few weeks. Since she is wanting to go to Savanna's SCAD or Chicago's Columbia she won't be able to use any of her TOPS money she has earned. I hate that, but it's her future and she should go where ever she'll get the best and most knowledge.
