THE SPCA WANTS TO AIR MY DAUGHTER'S VIDEO AS A COMMERCIAL

I am so proud of my youngest daughter, Kayla. She and the rest of her class
were giving an assignment at NOCCA "New Orleans Creative Arts. They were each asked to make a Public Awareness Video on whatever they felt needed more awareness. Kayla, did a video on Animal Abuse. She did a great job on it, and she got an A. She told me yesterday that the SPCA  seen her video and they were so impressed that they want to run it as a commercial on TV!

I am so excited, because I tell Kayla how great she is all the time; so does her teachers, but it's like she thinks we are pulling her leg or something.
She's won awards, got into NOCCA which isn't that easy in it's self.
Anyhow I am so happy, because this should give her more confidence in her work when she sees her video airing on TV. Plus it's a great video and I truly hope it wakes up the right people and gets a buzz going. A buzz to help make animal laws tougher when it comes to animal abuse.

And I hope this helps her to get into the college she wants and maybe she'll win some scholarship money too. She's been busy writing essays and filling out all kinds of college entry papers over the last few weeks. Since she is wanting to go to Savanna's SCAD or Chicago's Columbia she won't be able to use any of her TOPS money she has earned. I hate that, but it's her future and she should go where ever she'll get the best and most knowledge.

I'll keep y'all informed as to when and where it will air.
I can't wait! :)

PLEASE VOTE FOR OUR NEW PUPPY BRI WE ADOPTED HER FROM THE SPCA SUNDAY!

OUR NEWEST BABY GIRL BRIANNA, Picture taken by, Kayla.

We adopted our newest family member Sunday 10/10/10
Her name is Brianna, so we call her Bri.  Bri is a Lab/Retriever Mix and she is 5 months old.
We wanted to get a friend/playmate for our 2 1/2 year old Pit/Boxer Mix who we adopted from the SPCA when she was only 4 months old.  They seem to really like each other very much.  Bri is the sweetest, funniest dog we are truly enjoying her so much.  She was at home right when we meet, we have had no problem with her at all. I've already taught her to sit, shake and to walk on a double leash.  No accidents in the house either she is so smart she lets us know when she has to go.  She hasn't messed with any wires, or anything she shouldn't.  The SPCA dogs are the best dogs I've ever had.  Please before you ever buy a pet go to your local SPCA these animals are the best, it's like they know where they came from and want to please us.

Please, please vote for Bri this is a picture my daughter Kayla took.  I think it's a great picture of her, don't you? This is a animal photo contest and all you have to do is click and vote.  The prize is $1,000, Kayla is about to go to college so she could really use the money to help with college expense.
Thank you so much, I appreciate your vote. :)
