I wanted to first let y'all know why I was absent yesterday and will be much of today.We are having our Oak Trees cut and with the dogs inside they were going nuts.So, we took them off to City Park and down by the French Quarter Festival.Both were so much fun! If you haven't been to City Park lately it's AMAZING!  It looks so beautiful, I wish I wouldn't of forgot my camera in the trunk yesterday where I could show, ya just how pretty. They added huge big swings like the kind on the porch of some homes they must have about 20 to 30 of them so your sure to find one open when you go.  Plus all the water fountains are so beautiful, and it's so neat the big one infront of the swings is really made where your dog can walk in it and get wet and have fun.  Which is very nice since you know even though it's very cool under the trees, you can't always stay under a tree and we need to keep our dogs cooled off.  And don't miss the French Quarter Festival today and tomorrow it's one of the BEST FREE festivals in America!  Music starts at 11AM last band playing at 9PMWay too much music to even add, LOTS of Great music being played on 19 stages! If you can't find what you like here, then you don't like music.  Most of us have the problem of like too, much and we can't choose what stage to go to.  You could always listen like me and run back and forth, but I don't recommend it if your trying to keep your buzz. lol  So, get out and support the city, have a great time, eat amazing food, buy some great art, and get a tan too! lol Check out my local page to find out what else is going on in the city.Oh, one more things Magazine street looks AMAZING!!! They are almost finished with all the work and oh, it looks the best I've ever seen.  You gotta go check it out, it's really looking good.  they have a website now so make sure you check that out HERE.If you grab one of the WHERE Y'AT Magazines and you'll find a F.Q. Soon the character as we locals call it, you know the park where you kind of have to do that little quick curve after the covered train part going to the Westbank will be no more. :(   Kind of sad to see it go. lol Our new bridge will be straight and no longer will there be the Bridge City Circles.  Not sad to see that gone that's for sure.  The whole project including the new roads which will hook into Hwy 90' should be done around the middle of 2013.   Sounds great for the local drivers, but I am not to sure about the small local businesses right around there.
