MAKE EASY HOME MADE GIFTS AND SAVE MONEY
Pretty Home Made Gifts |
Home made gifts don't have to look cheap and they don't have to cost an arm and a leg either.
With the economy many people just don't have the money to spend on holiday gifts as maybe they did in the past years. Of, course you still would like to get together and socialise with your friends and family, right. And you may feel kind of weird not giving gifts, especially to people like your kids teachers, your preacher, mail carrier and other service people who you know work hard all year and really look forward to your thoughtful gift each year.
I love to make a lot of different cookies, and other sweets then mix them all and I give everybody a mixture so it's like a variety of all kinds of goodies. And everybody I give to has told me they love getting my gift and it's like the one they always count on to help make their party or meal better! They have told me that they either put it out at a party for friends or have it out on Christmas eve or Christmas with the family and everybody just loves it.
So, see not only does my gift make them feel special and loved it helps make their life easier, because it saves them time and money. They would have to spend a lot of time to do what I have just given them. Or better yet they would have to go buy it from some fancy bakery that would charge them an arm and a leg.
Since I am making more then 1 gift it comes out so much cheaper for me then if I was just buying the ingredients to make this for my own family. You know the more you make the cheaper the product becomes. So, it ends up being a win, win for me/baker. So don't feel like maybe your being cheap or that a homemade gift isn't as nice as a purchased gift, because nothing could be further from the truth. I mean it takes time, love and commitment to make home made gifts. It don't really take any time at all to either order or walk in a store and pick up a gift card.
And gift cards are nice but they are so impersonal too! Kind of like well here you go buy you something I don't have time to be worrying with you!
And if your wondering how to I make all these goodies without any of them getting steal or going bad. Don't worry I'll write another blog soon letting you know just how I do this and how I don't get all overwhelmed with all the different items either.
So this year try homemade gifts!
Happy Holidays Everybody!
