She has recorded four critically-acclaimed albums, won a Big Easy Award for Best Female Entertainer and has even had two feature roles in Disney movies. The New Orleans native is a pioneer of the new breed of young, roots-based musicians who have embraced both the traditional sounds of Louisiana and the pop sounds of the mainstream.
"You don't want to miss this, soon we won't be able to see Amanda so easily. I think all of us have become so use to seeing Amanda Shaw, at all of our local festivals, that we might pass on her show if we have another engagement. We may think, we'll be able to catch her again somewhere soon. But, I think any day soon she is going to go more main-stream and we won't be able to see her kicking butt at a local festival like she has been for so many years. She is 19 now, no longer the little 8 year old we all fell in love with. Catch her while you can, before the BIG media world gulps her up. I am truly surprised we have been so lucky to still have her all the time we have. "
