A southwest Ohio amusement park is honoring current and retired members of the military by offering them free admission during Fourth of July weekend.

Kings Island north of Cincinnati says military personnel can take advantage of the offer from July 1-4. To do so, they must present a military ID or forms proving they received an honorable or medical discharge. The park also is offering them discounted admission tickets for up to six members of their immediate families.

The park will have extended hours and stay open until midnight on July 2 and July 3, and it is planning fireworks displays for both nights.
