I keep seeing these ads fly by, on TV for Tempur Pedic Bed's. Since I have TIVO I fly through ALL commercials. I think TIVO was ONE of the BEST things every invented, much praise to the person who came up with that one. Well a few minutes ago, I slowed down, because I kept seeing this Tempur Pedic Commercial. I seen all these people giving it praises and smiling, just like everybody over here does, well everybody expect ME. I have a HUGE problem with these mattresses myself. We bought a Tempur Pedic Bed quite a few years back it was the top of the line one of the best, and it was very expensive at least at the time since they were a lot newer back then. Well when we went to the store we tried it out by laying on it and I thought oh, this feels great, but I only laied down for a minute or two. Since people were walking and at us it was kind of hard to get comfortable and drown them out. So, our test drive of our bed was laying on about 8 beds, and turning from side to side, that's it! Once we got the bed I was so excited and I thought I'd be in heaven, you know like laying on cloud 9, or jumping up and down while a glass of wine sat on the bed. ;) Well the first night it was fine for about the first 15 minutes, then I had to put my heating pad and start my turning from side to side. The one thing I do LOVE about our bed is it has a massage motor on it. The bad thing about that is it goes off in 30 minutes and I wake up every time it stops moving. After the first day sleeping on my new mattress I woke up so sore. I was so sore that it hurt every time I took a breath of air, my back, my ribs and my hips. I didn't say anything, because I thought maybe it was just a fluke and I sure didn't want to let on since it cost so much money.
{For those of you who don't know my history I have a old back injury from age 15, I broke my back and didn't have any surgery until 20 years later. Since then I've had multiple surgeries which all compiled of adding Titanium rods, screws, doing a disc fusion and my latest a Spinal Chord Stimulator aka a massage machine inside my back that is hooked to my nervous system.} When I lay on this mattress first thing I have to is turn my back off to lay down, if I don't it shocks me. Then I put the bed on, because I feel weird since I am not vibrating anymore, so that makes it hard to fall asleep. Now the mattress it's self feels great and I thought/would think I would sleep like a baby and really I kind of do, at least the way my babies slept anyway. You know waking up every couple hours, crying, and tossing & turning. This Mattress feels like it sucks me into it and makes me get stuck in one spot. It feels like Velcro holding me down. So, a lot of times I end up sleeping in my recliner, until I am so tired I know I'll knock out from exhaution. My fiance LOVES the bed and my kids love the bed too! Really every single person that has sat on my bed, has said, oh, my God your bed is amazing, your so lucky! So, I am the only person that doesn't seem to like it. I only wish I could have a bed that was half and half and since it cost so much money I can't bring myself to ask for another bed. I also have a Tempur-Cloud Pillow that I LOVE. I love it so much, I don't leave home without it. I've even carried it on airplanes, and to the hospital for surgery. I've had doctors and nurses pick it up and say, oh, my God, what kind of pillow is this? HONEST it's that great of a pillow. I LOVE, LOVE it you get the idea, right. Weird since it's the same as my mattress, but all I can think of is my head and neck aren't injured like my back. I hope you can read all of this well, I am super tired today. I didn't get much sleep last night due to trying to sleep in my bed. I am having my 2 year old grand baby over tonight her and I are going to do eggs and make cookies so I wanted to be rested. I already fell a sleep twice while writing this. I am sleepy.
