Here is a message a fellow Smart Money Saving Mom passed on to warn us all.
Please read this to help you not fall for this scam.
Here is her letter:

"I received a letter in the mail yesterday from Macy's, and it said that the account holder, that would be me, had been reported dead and that they needed someone to call the 1-800 listed in the letter to either make arrangements for the balance on the account or to straighten out the bad information if I was still alive. I knew it was a fishing scam, because I don't have a balance on my account. I called Macy's and they said that it was a fishing scam and not to call the number. So be careful, I hadn't heard of one like this before, but I'm sure others have. I just wanted to remind you not to resond to these letters, but to call the actual company 800 number and check it out. Hope this helps someone in the future."

Thank you Nancy for warning us. :)
