Texas food plant linked to bacterium, state says!

Authorities in Texas,  "they have ordered a San Antonio plant to stop processing food and recall all products it shipped this year after tests showed the presence of a bacterium in chopped celery from the plant.

The tests found the presence of a bacterium that can cause illness in chopped celery from Sangar Fresh Produce of San Antonio, the Texas Department of State Health Services said in a statement.

The tests were part of an investigation into 10 cases involving the bacterium; those cases included five deaths in eight months, the department said. Six of the 10 cases have been linked to chopped celery from Sangar Fresh Produce, it said in a statement.

The company's president, Kenneth Sanquist, disputed the state's findings. "The state's claim that some of our produce now fails to meet health standards directly contradicts independent testing that was conducted on the same products," he said in a statement.
"This independent testing shows our produce to be absolutely safe, and we are aggressively fighting the state's erroneous findings."

"I personally would NOT eat this, I mean it's not worth it, why they argue with each other about who's right people could die."
