"I just heard on CNN that Taylor Swift will be giving a FREE concert to these lucky JetBlue customers, before they take off and they will also have another concert while up in the air. Wow, how lucky for these fans."
JetBlue says Swift's performance at its T5 terminal "will precede a 'Flight Across America' charter flight during which Taylor will conduct a promotional in-flight concert while en route to Los Angeles."
However, fans hoping to catch Swift at JFK must be ticketed to fly on JetBlue. The airline says Swift's performance "will take place post-security in the Marketplace at JetBlue's JFK Terminal and is not available for public purchase."
The performance is part of JetBlue's Live from T5 concert series that it debuted in 2009. Other artists performing for JetBlue in 2010 have included Sarah McLachlan and the rock band Daughtry.
"This gives our customers a free, live entertainment experience and intimate access to one of the most popular artists in the industry today," Fiona Morrisson, JetBlue director brand management and advertising says in the release. "We are constantly looking for ways to provide a one-of-a-kind travel experience that's valuable, fun and unexpected for our customers, whether that's on the ground at Terminal 5 or in the air on a JetBlue flight."
